The parties discussed cooperation opportunities in digital and information technologies, as well as smart cities and cybersecurity, and agreed to arrange both a visit of TRA representatives to Moscow and Russian business mission in Saudi Arabia.
"The World Government Summit is one of the landmark venues in the region to discuss key global development issues, technology challenges and opportunities," said Kristina Tantsyura, CEO at InfoWatch Gulf. "Russian information security solutions, such as data loss prevention (DLP), external attack protection, and business app code analysis systems, are highly demanded in the Middle East. Our technologies, track record and expertise successfully serve both businesses and government agencies of the region. We are discussing the opportunities for expanding our collaboration, including through the projects in adjacent fields, like joint education initiatives and information security of industrial technological systems."
In addition, during the summit, Russian mobile app 'Public Services' ('Gosuslugi') won the Best m-Government Service Award in the Accessible Government category. Kristina Tantsyura believes this triumph to confirm once again that it is Russian solutions that are highly demanded and appreciated in the Middle East.
It should be noted that InfoWatch Group was the first Russian DLP vendor to open a full-service office InfoWatch Gulf in Dubai. InfoWatch's solutions have already been recognized in the Middle East. In particular, the company's flagship DLP product InfoWatch Traffic Monitor obtained Bahrain Technology Award. Over the first year of operation, the company expanded customer base, concluded several dozens of partnership agreements with the largest integrators, and launched an education initiative in the region.
InfoWatch Group participated in the World Government Summit in Dubai for the second year in a row. In 2018, Natalya Kaspersky, InfoWatch Group President, spoke at the forum after being personally invited by His Excellency Omar Bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and Managing Director of the World Government Summit.
The World Government Summit has been held annually in Dubai by the UAE Government since 2011, bringing together government officials from all over the world for a global dialog about government control and politics with a focus on technology and innovation. The summit is a knowledge sharing center for government officials, thought leaders, politicians, and business people.
